Supersite Upgrade 2018: How-to Instructions for Downloading Course Data

Follow

Step 1: Choose a Preferred Download Format

From within the gradebook for your Supersite 2.0 program, you can print or export course data.

The print options in the gradebook present data in a portable document format (PDF) that is easy to read. Use this format if you want to document student grading data, but also wish to have a document to use for comparing lesson assignments when creating courses in your upgraded Supersite. The benefits of a PDF version:

  • Manageable file size for storage
  • Easy to print and read (on paper)
  • Easy to read on screen

The export options save the data in a spreadsheet format (CSV). Use this format if you want to document student grading data in a format that is editable.  The benefits of a CSV version:

  • Manageable file size for storage
  • Flexibility to manipulate/edit using Excel or a similar spreadsheet program
  • Flexibility to convert the file type for importing into another learning system or gradebook platform

Step 2: Choose Type of Data to Download

From within the gradebook for your Supersite 2.0 program, you may select the type and amount of data to download such as graded/credit assignments, individual assignment scores vs. average scores, content tab type (Web-SAM/eCuaderno, Practice, Assessment), and single vs. lesson/unit ranges.

Including Credit and/or Graded Assignments

By default, “Graded” activities are the only activities included in gradebook reporting.  To include “Credit” activities in grade calculations, go to Preferences>Grading Options and select the option to “Include the numeric score on most Credit activities in statistics calculations.”  After applying this setting, gradebook reports will include students’ scores for both graded and credit activities.

Assignment Scores For a Lesson/Unit and a Single Content Tab

Quick Print and Quick Export compile the Detail view’s grading data for the active (the content tab being viewed) lesson and component tab.

  • Use the Quick Print to print a hard copy of or save your students’ grades in a portable document format (PDF file).
  • Use the Quick Export to prepare a spreadsheet (CSV file) and make any adjustments to the information within Excel or another spreadsheet program.

Assignment Scores For Multiple Lessons/Units and a Single Content Tab

Advanced Print and Advanced Export compile the Detail view’s grading data based on a number of self-selected parameters including student name and information, assignment designation, activity averages and points, and multiple lessons/units per content tab.

  • Use Advanced Print to print a hard copy of or save your students’ grades in a portable document format (PDF file).
  • Use the Advanced Export to prepare a spreadsheet (CSV file) and make adjustments to the information within Excel or another spreadsheet program.

Averages and Assignment Data For Lessons/Units and Multiple Content Tabs
