Supersite Upgrade 2018: FAQs

  • Can I transfer my existing Supersite course, course assignments or course settings into the new Supersite? Unfortunately, no.
  • Can I upload scores from an existing Supersite into the new Supersite? Unfortunately, no.
  • Can I keep a record of my existing Supersite course assignments? Yes. You can use the Advanced Export feature in the gradebook to keep a record of activities you assigned per lesson/unit. This data can be saved as a .CSV file or as a PDF
  • Can I preserve students’ scores for courses in the existing supersite? Yes. You can use reports for roll-up summaries or export for lesson-by-lesson assignment scores. This data can be saved as a .CSV file or as a PDF.
  • Can I access the existing Supersite(s) after June 30, 2018? No, the existing Supersite(s) will be retired. All data and servers for the Supersite will no longer be accessible to customers or to Vista Higher Learning after June 30, 2018.
  • Can my students access the existing Supersite(s) after June 30, 2018? No, the existing Supersite(s) will be retired. All data and servers for the Supersite will no longer be accessible to customers or to Vista Higher Learning after June 30, 2018.
  • How soon can Supersite Administrators and teachers access the upgraded Supersite(s)? As soon as a Supersite Administrator submits a completed Upgrade Acknowledgment Form, he/she will be granted access to the Supersite(s). Teacher access will follow through July 1, 2018. Teachers may add trial access at any point on their own.
  • How soon can teachers set up 2018-2019 academic year (AY) courses in the new Supersite? As soon as teachers have full access, they can create courses for the 2018-2019 AY.
  • How soon will students be able to access the new Supersite(s)? Student seats in the upgraded Supersite site license system will be available beginning July 1, 2018.
  • How long will the district get access to the upgraded Supersite(s)? The initial license will be for the 2018-2019 academic year, beginning July 1, 2018 and ending June 30, 2019. Remaining time for the license is based on the district's original product purchase. For example, if the district has 2 years of remaining access for the existing Supersite, then the district will be provided 2 years of access to the upgraded Supersite
  • After a student finishes a course in the upgraded Supersite, how long will the student be able to access the Supersite? Students will only be able to access the upgraded Supersite during the time they are enrolled in an active Supersite course. When the course ends, that student's seat will be made available for another student.

  • If anyone in the district has questions about the technical requirements for the upgraded Supersite(s), who should we contact? After reviewing the technical requirements document, contact Technical Support with questions.
